How this site was built
The same argument the studio makes about furniture applies to websites: you can see where the care went.
Design
The layout borrows from gallery hanging rather than from storefront templates. Wide margins, hairline rules, and small caps labels stand in for the frame around a piece. The background is bone rather than white so photographs of warm wood do not read grey.
Typography
Cormorant Garamond for display, set large and tight, with Manrope for everything that has to be read quickly. Both are open licensed.
Photography
Product photographs are of actual finished pieces from the Alt Key Creations bench. Where a photograph or film has not been shot yet, the page shows a labelled placeholder instead of stock imagery, because a stock woodshop would be the one dishonest thing on the site.
Commerce
The catalog, cart, and checkout run on Shopify, so payments, taxes, and order records are handled by a system built for it. Product data on every page is pulled live, which is why prices and availability here are never stale.
Tools that are not here
No pop-up offering ten percent off, no countdown on a product that is not actually limited, no fake review counts, no live visitor tickers. The studio would rather sell fewer pieces honestly.
